Atwater Village renovations tend to lean modern - clean lines, warm woods, the odd bold move - on top of bungalow and mid-century bones. That’s comfortable territory for us: frameless cabinetry, slab doors in rift oak or walnut, handleless runs and integrated appliances, finished to feel as good under the hand as they look.

Village bungalows don’t give up space easily, so much of the work is quiet problem-solving - a wall of storage that disappears, an island that does the work of a room. Our bench is about ten minutes away in Glendale, which keeps a tight renovation moving.
